Warehouse development and town planning policies in the UK

Purpose This paper offers a review of national and local planning policies towards warehouse development within the UK. Design/methodology/approach The first sections provide description simple method enquiry sources information used in paper, outlines main factors driving demand for warehousing space UK, nature, scale operation modern warehouses, short into limited literature published to date, on town how it has influenced development. is followed by an examination some issues associated with development, two mini-case studies these are perceived played out, discussion raised this studies.
